Junior is a lovely model with a kind eye, correct conformation and the most endearing personality. He is beautifully mannered both on the ground and under saddle, always trying his hardest to please his rider and making every day enjoyable.

 

He is by Kiltealy Silver, a respected traditional Irish Sport Horse stallion renowned for producing honest, athletic horses with excellent temperaments, versatility and longevity. Out of a mare by Porter Rhodes, a sire whose offspring are well known for their toughness, bravery and genuine attitude, Junior carries the traditional Irish bloodlines that have consistently produced dependable all-rounders, with no foreign blood.

 

On the flat, Junior is a real pleasure to ride. He works in a soft, natural outline without the need for gadgets or force, leaving him with a lovely, light mouth and an honest way of going. He produces rhythmical, accurate and obedient tests, regularly earning pleasing dressage scores through consistency rather than extravagance. He has all the ingredients to make a serious contender at Area Festivals, and his comfortable paces make him a horse you could happily sit on all day.

 

Show jumping is another discipline he thoroughly enjoys. He confidently jumps courses around 80–90cm, producing a neat, careful shape over a fence and always giving his rider confidence. He has competed successfully at numerous unaffiliated competitions and has also been cross-country schooling, where he proved to be brave, genuine and straightforward. He would make a super grassroots event horse or an enjoyable Riding Club all-rounder for someone wanting to have fun across the three phases.

 

Junior has been a well-used horse in all the right ways. He has attended plenty of unaffiliated competitions, clinics, lessons away from home and pleasure rides, giving him a fantastic education and making him wonderfully experienced without carrying the mileage of a horse that has spent years in a demanding competitive career. He travels well, settles wherever he goes and takes new environments in his stride.

 

Around the yard, Junior is an absolute gentleman. Easy to catch, handle, groom, tack up and generally have around, he has a lovely character that makes him a favourite with everyone who meets him. He is polite in the stable, enjoys attention and is the sort that is a pleasure to own every single day.

 

Out hacking he is equally reliable, happily going alone or in company and is sensible with farm machinery and everyday traffic.

 

Junior is offered for sale through absolutely no fault of his own. He is a genuine, honest horse with a fabulous attitude who is ready to give his next owner years of enjoyment, whether that be in Riding Club activities, grassroots eventing, dressage or simply as a quality all-round partner.
