Some horses simply make life easy, and Spyro is exactly that sort.

 

A true all-round family cob with the most wonderful temperament, Spyro is the type that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Although he has no recorded breeding, he has all the qualities people are searching for – genuine, kind, sensible and an absolute pleasure to own.

 

On the ground he is simply faultless. He is a dream to handle in every way, happily stands for the farrier, catching, clipping, bathing and loading, and is the sort that fits effortlessly into any routine. He will happily live in or out, is a very good doer, cheap and easy to keep, and is always straightforward whether at home or away competing. He is equally well-mannered at shows and takes everything in his stride.

 

Spyro has enjoyed a varied and successful life. He has taken part in all Riding Club activities, including camps, happily show jumps around 80cm, has proven to be incredibly brave cross-country, and has hunted, standing quietly at the meet before going about his day sensibly. He is excellent to hack, both alone and in company, is confident in traffic, and is a pleasure to take out.

 

In a previous home, Spyro was used for Riding for the Disabled, which speaks volumes about his genuine, kind and trustworthy nature. He has the patience and temperament that cannot be taught and gives his rider endless confidence.

 

He is equally happy turned out, mixes well with others, and is easy to manage in every aspect. Quite simply, he is the sort everyone asks for but very few actually find.

 

Spyro would make a fantastic mother-and-daughter share, a Riding Club horse, hunting partner, Pony Club type, or simply someone's best friend to enjoy a bit of everything. He is safe, sensible and utterly genuine, without ever being dull.

 

He is only available as his owner is now looking for a horse with a little more scope over bigger show jumping tracks. This is absolutely no reflection on Spyro, who has been a much-loved and valued member of the family.
