On the flat, Rocky is a lovely mover with naturally flashy paces that make him stand out from the crowd. He works in a soft outline, carries himself nicely and gives a very smart picture. He had not done much schooling in his previous home, but has picked this up quickly and easily.

 

To jump, Rocky is honest and willing, happily jumping a course of fences with a willing attitude. He is careful without being sharp and gives his rider confidence, making him ideal for someone wanting to enjoy low-level jumping, riding club activities or general all-round fun. He has also been cross-country schooling, where he proved brave and sensible, taking everything in his stride. Rocky has attended pleasure rides and even been to the beach, all of which he has thoroughly enjoyed. 

 

Out hacking, Rocky is reliable both alone and in company. He is sensible in open spaces and has seen a variety of farm machinery and traffic. He is the sort of horse you can genuinely enjoy hacking and exploring on.

 

Above all else, Rocky is a really lovely person to have around. He has a fantastic temperament, a kind nature and a great personality that makes people quickly fall in love with him. He is good to shoe, load, catch etc. Rocky has on occasion had the odd buck into canter, therefore he is not a complete novice ride.
