Freckleton Florentine aka Flo is a very well-bred and well put together mare who has a very laid back outlook on life. Her sire is Monte Carlo, who’s offspring include a variety of international eventers and successful showjumpers. Flo’s dam sire is Berlin, a stallion that needs no introduction with 70 of his offspring competing at 1.60cm. Flo is a model of her breeding with good conformation, a fantastic attitude and talent over a fence.

 

Flo has been out to numerous unaffiliated and affiliated competitions having competed up to and including discovery level with amateur riders. She does not hot up in the ring, is very levelheaded and is not fazed by fillers, water trays etc. She does have a laid-back outlook on life and would suit someone who may have lost some confidence. 

 

On the flat Flo has started to really progress in the school, working in a correct soft outline, with three beautiful paces. She has started competing in a few dressage competitions with great scores and lovely comments from the judges.

 

Flo has done some cross-country training and schooling and is a pleasure to ride across the country. She would easily event and be quite successful!

 

She is ridden in a snaffle and has a nice mouth. She has hacked alone and in company, has seen farm traffic and is hacked out often with amateur riders.

 

Flo is not marish and a real dream on the ground, she loves fuss and attention and would benefit from being in a ‘pet’ type home. Good to catch, shoe, load and travel.
